Day 10, July 6th 2013 - Secret to Disaster.

I woke up from my sleep this morning, it was the best sleep I've ever had in a long time man. I sat down, and then Lexi walked up to me with a bowl of hot deer soup.  "Better, not taste like shit." I said, "haha. Fuck you." She said. I ate the soup, man this soup was pretty darm good I must say, but I didn't say it. "Where'd Dion go?", "Oh, he's going to loot some more stuff somewhere." She said, "So he just left you alone? Fucking guy." I said. We sat there and talked, then we heard gunshots. Lexi and I ran there and saw Dion lying down on the floor. I sat there, Lexi went towards his body. "Holy shit, he was bitten." She said. "No. Nono.". I walked up to his body and saw the mark. I had a mental breakdown. I just sat there and think, I guess he didn't want to turn to one of those things. He wrote a note, "I'm sorry I'm letting you down guys, I didn't wanna tell you about this because I'm scared that one of you are gonna do it which will be a tough decision. So I decided to do it myself. Mike, get Lexi to a better place, take care of her. I know it's hard for you to be reminded of your little sister but you gotta do this man. For her, for all of us. I'm sorry I couldn't go any further with you. You've been a great, the greatest cousin. Thanks for everything man, there are some weapons, food, and water I found. Good luck my friend." I took the note and didn't show it to Lexi, then we decided to walked away from the army base. I didn't talk for the whole day, Lexi was in shock, she apologized about my cousin but it didn't matter. He's down. We burried him beside the building. "I'm sorr..", "Do not EVER bring that up again, and second, you stay close to me and don't do anything unless I told you to." I said, "sure." We walked and found a great place to camp for the night close to a lake in the forest. I managed to kill 3 craze, not a big deal anymore. Choked the one behind the tree, the the other one's head and I told Lexi to distract the other one and boom, I broke it's leg. We decided to chain it to a tree as our watchdog from other raiders, even though I'm risking our safety, but it seemed like it didn't bother her at all. Well she asked why with concern but I explained it to her so yeah. Today is really shitty. "Let's go kiddo, help me build this thing." I said. We built a camp and I let her asleep. I don't want her to know anything about the note, especially about my little sister. Yeah, she was dead because she was bitten by a fucking craze. Put a bullet through her head. We'll see how thing goes tomorrow, but I'll make sure to keep Lexi safe.
