Day 7, July 3rd 2013 - Her Name is Lexi.

9:36 PM

We didn't know where to go, the highway turned out to be a dead end. We couldn't find a way to get pass it. We decided to go down through the forest, perhaps there is a lake that we could cross through to get to the other side. We decided to make a camp in the jungle, when suddenly we got ambushed by other group of survivors. There were 5 of them, they were trying to raid us. Gun shots everywhere, and since we didn't have any guns, we backed away and left our camp. Not too far though because I wanted to know who they were,  my cousin, the girl, and I stuck around for a while. When 3 of them left, there were 2 guys stayed at our camp, so we decided to take our stuff back. The girl said she could distract them while me and my cousin try to sneak up on them, so we did. She did a pretty good job, we just simply choked the two guys and that was that. They had guns on them so we took it, a revolver and a shotgun. Enough for the three of us. I gave the girl my crowbar so I could take shotgun and my cousin took the revolver. We packed everything and loot everything we could from them. We made sure we didn't leave any tracks behind when we leave. Along the way, we talked. She told us her name, Lexi. Her parents were dead I believe and she knew it. She told us about her parents were stuck in the subway station and all that. Then I figured, the letter was about her, I showed it to her, and she kept it. She doesn't seem to mind everything that has been going on. We talked more, walked, and threw some corny jokes at each other. Life was good for a moment, we got tired so we decided to make a camp under a bridge which was full with craze, but we managed to clear them out one by one, quietly. I wouldn't risk any loud noise at this moment. Baseball bats and crowbar is the way to go to not make that much noise. We sat there and do our usual shift. I'm up first the other two are asleep, my cousin keeps talking in his dream, and Lexi? She doesn't seem scared at all. She's like my little sister now, a badass one I know, knowing that there's no one who will be able to take care of her now. I feel sorry for you kiddo, we'll got something to eat tomorrow. I promise.
