Ah, Here we Go Again - Day 76 Mike's Diary

*noon*

The chains, oh. That. I didn't notice more like had no clue of what was being chained until Jack showed Moses and I what really is being chained. I was nervous, and yeah the Valors have just won. I can predict it.
When we were standing in silence, Moses quickly grabbed his rifle and was about to head out when Jack stopped him. Jack had all the rights to do so. It's for Moses' own knowledge that that monster can't be killed with only one rifle. The basement came into a deep silence again.
"We've got three options, leave the base, find a way to kill it, or..", "Give julie up" said Jack.
My instinct kicked in, and the word "No" was the first thing that came out of my mouth.
We discussed about what will we decide, so Moses and I decided to go back and discuss it with the group.

Moses and I gathered and met a brief meeting.
We did a vote, and surprisingly, people decided to stand their ground and fight. They wouldn't give Julie up either, for she's part of the family. They said that giving up Julie will only make us weaker, and one of the guys said "We're getting bullied here, so I wouldn't give up and wouldn't give fuckers anything except hundreds of bullets." Good enough for me. After the meeting, I told the people to stay until we have the battle plan. Moses came right up to me, and told me to plan everything, but I insisted to give the opportunity away to Jack. For he is good at it, and can be better if we give him sometimes to practice more. By doing this, Jack will know what to do, and what not to do during battle, and his regrets will forever make him a batter thinker when it comes down to a battle plan.

*Evening*

We got back to Jack and told everyhting, and also that he's in charge of the battle plan.
Jack quickly grabbed the paper and explained to us what he will do. First, he directed a couple of men to scout the area to get an idea of where the men who are responsible for bringing the monster to our base. Great idea, the second or third? Not so much. See if I was him, I would've thought that we know our base more than they do. Facing them upfront is useless unless we have very powerful gun powers. I would cut the chain of the monster of and lead it away, and let the rest of the guys strategically battling the valors inside the base, since Valors are not familiar with our are, but that's just me. The attack began, and surprisingly, we were the ones who initiated the attack instead of the Valors themselves. We did everything we could to make the monster fall to its knees, but nothing happened. He's too strong for human power to be taken down, unless we swarm it. When we were busy, the Valors didn't do anything (Rookie mistake), but it's a grace given by God to us, or else we all would've died. The sirens started going off, oh my oh my. I decided to get the twins to turn them off because the sirens are attracting more craze than what we could ever imagine. I see, the monster is annoyed by sirens. I should have that on my check-list. The monster is still there, struggling, but the men and I decided to end it. I rushed towards it, dodging it's blade, and tried my best to cut its blade off, while the other men were bashing on its face and legs. Took us about 20 minutes, but that'll do. We have finally taken it down, but at the end...
We decided to leave base to prevent future attacks by the Valors. We packed everything up, and were ready to leave to find our new base.

*Night*
Long story short, we have walked for 3 hours straight, and still no encounters with the Valors (A good thing). I now have an idea of what base we're looking for our next stop. Tree houses base. We just gotta walk another mile, and I will tell everyone about the plan. I have so many things that I want to tell them that perhaps can help make their lives full of peace. We'll see tomorrow, but tonight, we're here digging a half of a meter deep hole for us to sleep in peacefully with 10 people patrolling for 5 hours shift.

Mike's Diary Day 73 - That's all I Could Remember

*Morning*

I passed out I don't know for how long. My body is all aching, can't feel my legs too. My back hurts like crazy, felt like its been carved by something. Sitting up was a struggle, lying down feels like hundreds of spikes thrusting up my back. I got no choice but to try to sit up while Jack was making breakfast. He told me what happened, and that's how I knew why my back and legs hurt like hell. He asked me what happened, so I told him what REALLY did happen. 2 nights ago I believe, when I was writing down my journal, I heard footsteps, well more like shuffles. I thought it was just going to be another craze, but when I was about to get up, I felt something stinging on my neck. I then woke up from that drugs, and was hung on a pool in a room, I saw my leg and what happened to it, but wasn't sure what she had done to my back. Her face was also covered with blood, though I couldn't really see since I was really busted up. She sent a final blow and I just passed out. Next thing I know is right now, that I woke up. He asked me if I could remember the features of that figure, and YES I'm pretty sure it was a woman. She was about 5"4 and thin build. I think, I wasn't sure since she caught me off guard and just stung me with a needle. Jack only nodded. I asked him what does that mean, but he only responded "I'll tell you when I'm sure myself, until I have a proof."

*Afternoon*

I was just basically trying to get as much rest as possible, while Jack is guarding the building for the moment. He wanted to go back to base ASAP, and I mean "As Soon As Possible because I don't like where this is is going" kind of thing, but I insisted because I was to busted up to even sit straight up. He agreed, and he told me that we should go back tomorrow for sure. The situation was tense, well Jack was really tense all the time. I then spoke up and told him that I remembered a phrase that she said before that final blow. She said "Sshh.. Do not watch." Then boom. At that moment, Jack's expression was blank. I didn't know what to say so I just drank and closed my eyes.

*Evening*

Jack was hunting near the building, for rabbit or such, I just woke up and fever was at its climax. I can't feel my body, it was like I was completely paralyzed. I tried my best to calm down until  Jack came back. He re-bandaged my wound because the old one was soaked with blood. He told me once again that after he cooked and after we finished dinner, I should sleep so that I can feel better again tomorrow and take off back to base as soon as possible. I know, because he really doesn't like what is about to happen next if we stay here any longer.

*Night*
The moon is right on top of us, and it was about 11 PM by approximation. He told me to sleep while again he guards the door. He notices me writing, and now he's back looking tensely outside the window. I don't know what he's thinking at the moment. I don't know what he's keeping away from me, but secrets can sometimes backfire and kill you or your comrades.
